Blue Shades of Watercolors

Hello everyone and welcome to my website. Today, I am sharing with you a birthday card that I made for Simon Says Stamp IG challenge. This month`s theme is Watercolors.

Untitled design – 1

For the blue background I used watercolors from Craftelier. I colored the paper with two shades of the blue color. On top of that, I stamped a notes stamp from Simon Says Stamp “Vintage Love Notes” stamp set and heat embossed it with a white embossing powder. I covered the half of that layout with another piece of white paper which I embossed with a Sizzix “Brickwork” embossing folder. I really love that embossing folder. It gives such a beautiful dimension to each project.

For the focal point, I used Gina K. Designs “Wishful Florals” bundle. First, I wanted to use the stencils for the flowers and leaves but then I gave it a go with my Prismacolor Premiere pencils and gamsol. It turned out good.

The sentiment is from Kaisercraft “Birthdays” stamp set. I use it all the time because it is simple and so elegant. I added a little bit of black embossing powder to it for a little bit of shine.

For the layout of this card, I was inspired by Narelle Farrugia and one of her cards posted on Instagram. She is a great cardmaker and always inspiring to me. 🙂

Well, I hope you`ll like this card. Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
