Hello crafty friends!
Today, I am showing a birthday card with warm and bright colors. It’s so hot here so I tried to portray that with bright summer colors.
I used mostly products from Gina K. Designs: Crop Circles stencil, The Goodlife stamp set for the sentiment, Wishful Florals stamp and die set for the focal image, Double Stitched Ovals die and for inks I used: Marigold, Tangerine Twist, Red Hot and Soft Stone.
The cardstock is no brand cardstock, just what I had and what matched my colors. First I ink – blended my background with the Soft Stone ink and Crop Circles stencil to put some grounding element. On top of that I layered my oval die – cut and the focal point. I stamped the sentiment directly on the oval before the gluing part. The flower is popped up with some double – sided adhesive foam. For some extra touch, I added a few white flat back pearls.
I colored the flowers and the leaves using the Wishful Florals stencil set and detail blending brushes from Gina K. Designs. They are great for small areas and if you want to add deeper colors to the bottom of the petals and leaves.
